Neteller Arrests & The AftermathA few days ago, the founders of Neteller, probably the number one way US players were still transferring money to and from online poker sites, were arrested. At first, I was not alarmed. Upon hearing that Instacash transactions had been disabled, which basically just let people transfer money instantly from their bank accounts -- I was still not alarmed. I had money at Neteller, I rarely used the feature, and even people who didn't would just have to wait a little bit. Not a big deal. But now, it seems Neteller has stopped transfers to all poker sites from US players. You can still take your money out to your bank account or what have you (I just did), but I can't, right now, deposit at a poker site. Boooo. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Anyone else know what the frequency is over there? Update: Confirmed. Here's the statement from Neteller.Wednesday January 17, 2007 |
